Tom Tam

Mr. Tom Tam is a healer, writer, poet, and a Tai Chi Chuan Teacher. Born in Tai Shan, China, he came to the United States in 1975 as a political refugee. Since 1982, he has been practicing acupuncture, Tai Chi, and Qigong healing with great success.  

For the last 20 years, Tom has been one of the foremost students of Master Gin Soon Chu, the fifth generation master of traditional Yang family Tai Chi.  For twenty years, Tom has been one of the foremost students of Master Gin Soon Chu, the fifth generation master of traditional Yang family Tai Chi Chuan. In 1987, Tom founded the Boston Chi Gong Center and began training students. The following year, he founded the Oriental Culture Institute and organized the Boston Chi Gong Delegation to China. 

Tom has been awarded the highest honor of The Chinese Medical Research Association, the diamond pin and medal. He has also been made Honorary President of the Taipei Acupuncture Society. 

Over the years, Tom has written many books on Chi Gong, healing, and philosophy. They include -  Tai Chi Dao Yin (1993); Yi Jin Jing (1994); a translation of Lao Tzu's Dao De Jing (1994); Tom Tam's Healing System (1995); Pi Gu: The Way of Chi Gong Fasting (1st edition) (1996). He has also written several books of poetry, including For the Love of Nature (1997). Some of his books have been translated into Russian.  

In 1997, Tom finished a book on his approach to past-life therapy, the Unfinished Life, and in 1998, he completed two new books on his experiences healing patients with cancer: New Hope on the Horizon and Metamorphosis: Emerging from Darkness

In 2000, Tom developed a new style of Chi Gong, Da Peng Gong and finished the book of Da Peng Gong. His latest book, completed in 2001, is Tong Ren for Cancer.    

Mr. Tom Tam continues to practice, teach students, and travel around the world to share his dreams.

 

Eastern Healing Center provides Qigong healing, Pi Gu healing, Holistic Weight Loss, Distance Healing, Acupuncture and Tai Chi in Gaithersburg, Rockville, Potomac, and Germantown in Montgomery county, Maryland, and the whole Washington DC area.

Eastern Healing Center is located near the Old Towne Gaithersburg. Our office is only about 1 mile north to Rockville; 12 miles north to Bethesda, Silver Spring and Wheaton; 4 miles south to Germantwon and 6 miles east to Potomac. Gaithersburg is at the center of Montgomery county, Maryland. Montgomery County is a suburban county located in the state of Maryland, north of Washington DC.

Gaithersburg is surrounded by Rockville, Takoma Park, Barnesville, Bethesda, Brookeville, Chevy Chase, Darnestown, Germantown, Glen Echo, Kensington, Kentlands, Montgomery Village, North Potomac, Potomac, Silver Spring, Wheaton, etc.
